Do you deserve only one time commissions for sending your list to someone else?
Hi,
I was thinking about this, since Affiliate Marketing has become really hot these days. So many people are launching products related to Affiliate Marketing. Earlier info-products related to Affiliate Marketing were released by few top marketers. But, now you see many new names coming in this field and sharing their experience on how to make money quickly with Affiliate Marketing.
For a newbie, who is just getting started, there are two main routes s/he can take online - Create an info-product in a niche s/he is expert in or become an affiliate marketer to promote someone else’s product. Many people are taking the second route and hence the increase in number of products related to Affiliate Marketing.
If you would have noticed, most of the cases Product owners give affiliates commissions between 50-75%, gone are the days when one used to get 25% commissions for recommending someone else’s product. Now, you do have some cases when you get 100% commissions in the main product and 50% on the OTO, but nothing beyond that.
Unless it’s a membership site you can not expect to receive recurring commissions from the Product owners. Most commonly, these product owners will not have just one product, they will create big line of products and they have good backend products for the main product you recommend. So, they milk the list for what it’s worth. But, who helped them to build this list? Who sent them these list members? You! So, shouldn’t you be getting commissions on all those products? Does it happen in reality?
Will you be happy to see commissions for the product you never promoted? How will you react if a product owner sends all his mailings to the list with your affiliate id embedded in it, so, indirectly you are mailing to that list! J
In my Big Player’s List Building Secret eBook I describe the technique selected big marketers are using to keep their affiliates motivated and loyal to them by paying them commissions for lifetime on many products purchased by people referred by the affiliate. Do you think their affiliate program will be spread by word-of-moth, you bet! My eBook also gives you simple code you need to implement the same system on your site.
Now, that’s as far as their own products are considered and paying commissions on purchase of their products. Have you ever seen, people recommending someone else’s product as affiliate and you get commissions for that? Is it confusing? Let me explain you with an example.
I have created an eBook List and Traffic Secrets Exposed, this eBook reveals some powerful tactics to drive huge traffic to your sites and build targeted lists. For this example, let’s say you refer Joe to download this free eBook, OTO is displayed when Joe subscribes to the list, you get 100% on the OTO sale. Now, when Joe reads the eBook and finds the advice useful, he clicks on products that are recommended in the eBook. These are products created by Jimmy D. Brown, I have put affiliate links for these products. But, these are not my affiliate links, I have done a 50-50 split between me and you. So, 50% of times when Joe clicks a link, it will put your affiliate id for Jimmy’s products and other 50% times Jim will get my affiliate link.
So, when you promote List And Traffic Secrets Exposed, you will get commission not only on the OTO which is the product I own resell rights to, but also Jimmy D. Brown’s product which you will have to never promote to Joe. I will take care of that via the eBook as well as the follow-up messages I have set-up for that list.
This was made possible by Jon Leger and Alok Jain’s script Viral Profit Machine. You would have seen PDF Branders, where affiliates need to download the brandable eBook and Brander and then they need to distribute the eBook they have branded with their affiliate id. With Viral Profit Machine, your affiliates don’t have to worry about the same, they have to just refer people to your site, the links in PDF are not hard-coded links, these are dynamic links and based on specifications made by the affiliate program owner, these links will be branded with your or their affiliate id when someone referred by you clicks the link.
This I feel is taking the affiliate marketing to the next level. So, if you want to experience it yourself, then sign-up for List and Traffic Secrets Exposed list here and sign-up as an affiliate here to see how the system works.
I would like to see your views on the same.
Regards,
Amar Mehta
